I began my journey in photography in the fifth grade when I needed a new project to occupy me while my Father was deployed to Thailand during the Vietnam conflict. I read every book in the Highland Falls library about photography and bought a range finder 35mm camera to get started. I still remember the thrill of making my first long exposure of a waterfall and seeing the result when the prints came back.
I have been active in the outdoors my entire life including: hiking, backpacking, mountaineering and rock climbing, wilderness canoe tripping, fishing and now van camping in New England and beyond.
